I have known John Nodding as a good friend and fellow church member for many years. Also, many weighty discussions took place on adjacent exercise cycles or rowing machines at our gym! Then, sadly, John's life was changed radically when he contracted motor neurone disease (MND) in 2014.
Later that year, already considerably incapacitated, John mentioned to me an ambition to record his life story; this was the start of an intense period of cooperation between us as I volunteered to help him. Progressively, a 73,000 word book gradually took shape over a nine month period. In the book, John tells his eventful life story from the very beginning, through the many joys and sorrows that have come into his life.
John has always been a charismatic, larger-than-life figure, totally dedicated to his family, his profession and his Church; even more significantly, he has always been the true servant of all who surround him.
